Tim's Transformation: Former Offensive Lineman Gets In The Best Shape Of His Life

One of the amazing people I’ve had the opportunity to work with, Tim, took some time to go over some of his biggest lessons and overall experience working together as he went from a former college offensive lineman, weighing 240lbs with poor nutrition habits, to a 204lb beast who was benching 225lbs for easy reps while also running 6 minute miles.

He lost body fat, built better habits that will last a lifetime, and got into the best shape he’s ever been in. The quick interview below goes through how he did it, his doubts, how he did it, and where he’s at right now.

How do you feel about your progress from when we first started to now?

Feel really good about it. Lost a lot more weight than I thought I would and enjoyed the process of it a lot more than I thought I would.

The healthy habits I developed through your program did not seem like realistic goals for me before I started but by changing my priorities and starting at square one I feel very good about my progress and am confident that the habits I have developed will allow me to continue making progress even after we are done working together.

What was your biggest problem/thing you wanted to accomplish when we first started?

Just getting started on my fitness journey and learn about how to develop not only healthy nutrition and fitness habits, but how to develop realistic and sustainable healthy habits that I could build on.

How do you feel, physically, now compared to when we started?

Have a lottt more energy and feel a lot stronger than before I started. My back and joints hurt less than they did before I started (from losing weight). Can do the things I love doing like hoop without worrying about conserving energy to make it through the entire game.

How do you feel, mentally, now compared to when we started?

Much more confident in myself. Feeling good and confident in myself gives me so much more energy and motivation to accomplish not only my fitness goals, but my personal and professional goals as well.

What have been your biggest ‘wins’ since we started?

  • Losing between 35-40 pounds (was starting to get close to 245 pounds before we started)

  • Developing healthy and sustainable nutrition and fitness habits (actually eating veggies lol)

  • Being able to do multiple sets of pull-ups relatively easily

  • Being able to run long distances for the first time since high school

  • Playing full mens league basketball games without wanting to kill myself after

  • Getting close to being able to do multiple lifts with the same weight as I was doing when I was 240 pounds and playing college football.

What were you/are you most surprised about when it comes to fitness that you learned since we started

That good nutrition is not about restricting the things that you eat and no foods are inherently bad. And also that doing lots of ab exercises is not the key to getting abs.

….

I, Patrick, should also note that Tim spent a significant amount of time out of the country for work at one point while we were working together. He also had a few previous injuries flare up that we had to work around. Despite all of that, and his previous habits, he still completely changed how he looks & how he operates.

Unbelievably happy & proud of my guy Tim!
